Leopard's Den

A safari essentials house. Luxury skincare built for heat, dust and distance.

Every skincare routine assumes a sink. A safari doesn't have one.

The challenge

A category that did not exist.

Premium skincare assumes a controlled environment: running water, a fixed routine, a stable climate. A safari offers none of them, and no luxury brand had been built for the gap.

The strategic trap was just as sharp. Sit beside luxury fragrance and you become another scented lifestyle brand. Sit beside mass utility and you forfeit the premium. The work was to define a category that did not exist, and make it unmistakably ours.

Leopard's Den in the wild
The positioning

A safari essentials house.

Leopard's Den equips people for life in the wild: five essentials that each solve a distinct problem of sun, heat, dust and limited water. Nothing decorative. Nothing that does not earn its place.

Underneath the brand sits the bigger idea, a new category of environmental comfort: skincare engineered to perform outside the controlled indoor world. Safari is the beachhead. The category is the territory.

The leopard is never decoration. It is a model of conduct, efficient, adaptive, quiet, precise. No wildlife imagery, no botanical illustration. Only the discipline the animal implies.

The system

Five essentials. One day in the wild.

Restraint is the point. Five, not fifteen. Each product earns its place by answering a problem the safari creates, not by filling a shelf.

Identity

A warm world, held against deep shadow.

The palette is sunlit and shadowed, never flat, never beige. The wordmark is carved into plaster rather than printed. The leopard is abstracted to a single gold rosette that works as a deboss, a foil, or one quiet detail on a matte label.

Go-to-market

Sold where the journey begins.

Leopard's Den is built for the channels that meet the customer in motion: safari lodges and private camps, expedition outfitters, and travel retail across African airports. On-territory by definition, high intent, and high margin.

The traveller preparing for a once-in-a-lifetime trip is among the most motivated buyers in beauty. The brand meets them at the moment of intent, not on a crowded shelf.

Ways of working · AI-accelerated, human-led

Fully onboarded to AI. The thinking stays human.

Category and competitive research, concept visualisation, packaging and product-render exploration, and rapid iteration were accelerated with AI. Strategy, positioning, category definition, identity and narrative remained human-led and personally conceptualised.
